What is the carnival?

The carnival is a public celebration, which takes place immediately before the Christian Lent, dated variable, combining elements such as costumes, parades and street parties. By extension some similar parties are named in any season. Origin of carnival in Ecuador

Carnival characters

Most Popular Carnivals

The holidays are the most popular carnivals in Guaranda and Ambato.

In Guaranda, the carnival celebration is marked by parades and processions, accompanied by the typical drink of the area, the "Blue Bird", which is consumed by spectators and participants of the groups, also in Guaranda even played with water and foam carnival, and at night, artistic presentations bring together hundreds of tourists in the streets and parks.
